THREE / TROIS
Compagnie Une de Plus / France

Two actors dressed like puppets are on the stage. Their costumes are made in a way that you can’t see any human skin.
First comes the small puppet. Like a newborn, his first movements are clumsy and it looks really hard for him to stand straight.
Then the second puppet arrives. This one is on high stilts and his costume looks a bit like these wood mannequins often used to learn how to draw. Like a puppeteer, this giant is going to guide the small one. He helps him to make his first steps and even finds him a friend amongst the audience to play with. Quickly the kid wants to walk by himself and cuts the strings between him and his “dad”. But he can live freely only by killing his guide.

Authors, designers, performers: Eric Hervé, Guillaume Chave
Composed: Daniel Monge

COMPAGNIE UNE DE PLUS was established by Eric Hervé in 2003. Between 2003 and 2004 he created several puppet shows for children and two short shows to be played in a car or a caravan. In 2005, Eric Hervé and Guillaume Chave decided to work together. And thanks to Le Fourneau (one of the institution for street art in France), Olivier Gemser (choregraph of Tango Sumo Compagnie) and Daniel Monge (a young composer), “Trois” was born. The poetical universe of this show has touched a lot of people in many festivals. In 2007, Eric Hervé, Guillaume Chave and Jean-Sebastien Richard created a new show “Le Théâtre de la Greluche – version longue”: a puppets show for three actors with a crazy atmosphere inspired by the Monty Python and the Muppet Show. In 2011, Eric Hervé, Guillaume Chave, Jean-Sebastien Richard and Véronique Lécuyer are working at a show called “Juré-Craché”, a wordless poetical performance about childhood memories and the story of a friendship.
