Quanzhou Marionette Troupe represents the rich cultural and artistic heritage of Chinese puppetry. Quanzhou Marionette Art, otherwise called “Xuan Si Kui Lei“ in ancient times, is originated in Qin and Han Dynasties. The Quanzhou marionette art has well preserved over 700 traditional plays and over 300 unique music pieces which are played with special instruments. The troupe has many traditional plays that contain folk believing, etiquettes and customs from the ancient history of their region. The troupe has gained its reputation for exquisite and brilliant performing skills home and abroad.
