More than 4000 people visited the 11th NuQ Treff festival that ended on June 4, 2017.

Vahur Keller, the artistic director of the festival was very happy with the four-day event. "The shows were full and many of the performances received praise. I was extremely happy to see other festival organizers and curators from different European cities. The emotions and feedback of the performers and audience give immense power and energy to continue". The next NuQ Treff festival will be happening on May 24-27, 2019.

The four-day festival showcased 21 theatres, troupes and performers in five performing arts venue of Tallinn. Exactly 50 shows were given in addition to the artist talks, master classes and workshops. The evening clubs were full of discussions, friendly arguments and commentaries between performers and viewers, critics and backstage people.

23-year old Helen who came to see Ashes by Plexus Polaire said it was a completely different experience what she's used to seeing in Estonian theatre. "It was very detailed handicraft and very deep, layered, thoroughly enjoyable theatre experience," Helen says. Another visitor was also positively surprised. Karl who saw the Maribor Puppet Theatre show Little Blue and Little Yellow with his son didn't expect to be so completely enthralled with a children's show. "I think I was more involved with what was going on than my son," Karl explains.

The festival was organized by the puppet theatre NUKU with the help of partners and collaborators. Many thanks to Estonian Ministry of Culture, Estonian Endowment Fund, French Institute, Austrian Embassy in Tallinn, St Olav Hotel, Go Hotel Shnelli, Von Krahl Theatre, Kanuti Gildi SAAL, Estonian Art Museum, Sõltumatu Tantsu Lava, Karja Kelder and Tallink.
