Little Blue and Little Yellow are the best of friends. Together, they go to school and play. One day, they embrace and become – green. They return home different and are not recognized by their families, so they cry and cry – all the way to recognition.
Through a dynamic interplay of colours, little and big theatregoers alike come face to face with many important questions about friendship, identity, appearances and the inside, the composition of everything living, about themselves and others.
Maribor Puppet Theatre was established in the year of 1974. The theatre prepares six new performances a year and gives more than 400 performances annually. The theatre puts on the performances on its own two stages in the new theatre house which opened for public in September 2010 and travels a lot around Slovenia and abroad. Twenty-five members of the theatre create performances for children and adults. Maribor Puppet Theatre was invited on many different festivals all over the world and since 1990 organizes its own international puppet festival in Maribor named Summer Puppet Pier in collaboration with festival partners all over Slovenia, Italy, Austria and Croatia and organizes national festival.
