Treff 2011 vahukujud kohtusid publikuga!

Täna kell 17.45 avati Tallinna Treff festival piduliku rongkäikprotsessiooniga, mis lookles pillimuusika saatel Nukuteatri eest Vabaduse platsile. Vabaduse platsil avati Penosili ehitusvahust valmistatud skulptuurid eesti kultuurikorüfeede skulptuurid.

Pärast (muuhulgas) Juhan Viidingu ja Kaie Kõrbi neljameetriste kaksikute paljastamist liikus lõbus rongkäik läbi Raekoja platsi Nukuteatrisse tagasi, kus varsti algas Quanzhou Marionetiteatri etendus “Iidsed kunsti, uued rajad” – festa avaetendus.

So, official journalists of Treff here communicating to you, dear readers from Treff Pere Club – Pia Maria Uuetoa &  Kärt Mirtel Inno (representing Estonia) and Brian F. Devaney (proud irish reporter).

… We´re in the main hall before the opening show. We´re feeling exited/tired/anxious/bubbly/happy – all at the same time… rush of emotions in our heads.

… The lights are turned off. E… musica!

… We see actors with puppets – a dragon and a man fighting… amazing puppets (how detailed a work making them – could even see different expressions on their faces – every little detail counts, and nothing is left undone)!

Sketches may have looked like clowning (and the crowd looooooved it! everyone was having a blast!), but the communication and connection between the actor and the puppet, the work between actors mastering the same puppet – it had more in it… it was more than just mastering or playing the puppet or synchronizing with the others… it was like dancing together – dancing until the end of love ( is there an end, I`m wondering?).

BRIAN: Just had an interview with Shen Suge (沉  苏 格) one of the (puppet)puppeteers and Vice Director of the Quanzhou Marionette Theatre.

Mr. Shen: ”They Improvise all their own individual pieces.” The interview was very present with Shen Suge`s work… he moved and danced with his pieces and puppets (there was no 4th wall)    ”They tarvel back to China on Monday,” says the puppetmaster.

It takes them 9-10 years to master their techniques and create thier own puppet.” . . . The performance and lay-out – that we as the audience saw – of a story would take up to 1 year!

Some words from the group . . .  ”It is our pleasure to attend and be a part of this festival.”   ”We feel that the art atmosphere is very strong here in Tallinn” . . . ”We visited the Puppet Museum this morning, we were very impressed!”  . . .  ” It is our first time in Estonia and we hope to keep contact for furture events” . . . ” We would love a chance to have groups over to China to our home to perform at our home” . . .

Good night and a nice awakening from the group of bloggers of Treff 2011 – Kärt, Brian and Pia!
